On December 24, 2011, Christmas eve, a ray of light traveling around the night sky over Europe has been spotted. And since, it was Christmas time, it has been first thought that it was Santa Claus himself traveling to distribute gifts to good boys and girls. But since videos and and posts have been spreading about the misconception about what truly was it about. The Belgium’s Royal Observatory have given their statement right the next day – on Christmas day itself that the flying object people have seen was just the Soyuz rocket debris.
In the released statement, it says: “The fireball observed above Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany on December 24 around 17h30, was the re-entry of the third stage of the Soyuz rocket that transported the Dutch astronaut Andre Kuipers to the ISS”. The sighting was said to be linked to the recent rocket launched of the three astronauts that started their travel last Wednesday. The three astronauts were: Oleg Kononkenko (Russian cosmonaut), Don Pettit (from NASA), Andre Kuipers (from the European Space Agency). The three went back and docked at the International Space Station (ISS) this Friday, December 23, 2011.
So the sighting might not be one of Santa Claus‘ travel, seems like Santa Claus still keeps his mystery, better luck next time! (Rel. article on discovery.com)

A woman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who has been believed to be practicing “witchcraft and sorcery” has been given a death penalty sentence. The woman named Amina bint Abdulhalim Nassar, has already been executed last Monday in the province of al-Jawf, Saudi. According to the Saudi Interior Ministry, it wasn’t the only execution for this kind of conviction this year. Amina bint Abdulhalim Nassar‘s execution for the conviction of “witchcraft and sorcery was only second to a Sudanese man who was first executed September of this year.
Nassar was proven guilty for the practice of witchcraft and sorcery when authorities had inspected her home they found a witchcraft-like-paraphernalia’s. With book all about witchcraft, 35 veils and glass bottles with liquids that they can’t identify and they think it’s what Nassar has been using for her witchcraft activities.
The beheading of Nassar has been condemned with a lot of human rights activists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Even the interim direct of Amnesty International for Middle East and North Africa, Philip Luther has condemned her beheading and called it “deeply shocking”. Luther even added: “The charge of ‘witchcraft and sorcery‘ are not defined as crimes in Saudi Arabia and to use them to subject someone to the cruel extreme penalty of execution is truly appaling”..”Where the death penalty is used, under the international law it should only be applied to the most serious crimes”. In the capital of Russia where protesters have gathered to show their rage against the victory of Vladimir Putin’s party over the last elections. There were more than 25,000 people who gathered in the Bolotya Square for the protest on Saturday. But instead of being focused on their angst, people were more distracted on that of a flying object hovering above their gathering.
Everybody in the crowd were all surprised about what was it and how it looked like. But, it was something they can’t even predict, but they were pretty sure it wasn’t a helicopter neither a plane nor jet that was roaming around. It was something else, something pretty hard to describe and identify.
With the looks the hovering object has, it has been believed that it might possibly a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object). Wherein Michael Cohen, a Paranormal writer, have also said: “NASA recently admitted that there is a good chance that aliens are monitoring are civilization through the use of ‘unmanned’ probes.”
With the raw videos that was taken by the onlookers within the area, it might really be believed that it might have been a UFO. It was a search of an old lady of her lost husband. In the Philippines, (Grandmother) Lola Aurelia lost her husband, (Grandfather) Lolo Luis for two weeks already. When she found out that Lolo Luis had been missing, she had waited for him and up until her grandson who went around to find him. The grandson of Lola Aurelia said that Lolo Luis, being a 78 years old has been suffering for dementia, and so might be the reason he got lost. But as days pass, there has been no Lolo Luis, she decided to go out and find the love of her life herself.
Up until she reached to the point of bring Lolo Luis‘ photo around. And they have posted Lolo Luis‘ photo on posts around the metro. What she even did was to pin Lolo Luis‘ photo on her own clothes (front and back). And as a photo enthusiast, Reddie Js has seen her as she was sitting near at the Mall of Asia, while Reddie was about to go to the mall’s parking area. He was awed by what he saw.
In a local news Reddie said, in Filipino: “Nung nakita ko yung pinned flyers sa damit niya naawa ako sa status ni Lola that she will go out to that extent na maglagay pa s’ya ng ganun to find Lolo, pero sabi ko din ang galing — love nya talaga si Lolo”.
Translation: “When I saw those pinned flyers on her clothes, I pity her status that she will go out to that extent to still put those to her dress just to find Lolo, but as I thought it’s really amazing — she really love Lolo.”
And so, Reddie approched Lola Aurelia and asked her permission to take a photo of her, so to put on Facebook to atleast help Lola Aurelia find Lolo Luis. And Lola Aurelia agreed to him even gave Reddie a copy of the flyer photo of Lolo Luis. Reddie posted the balck and white photo he took into a Facebook page and in an instant the photo became viral. It even reach about 50,000 people who shared the photo.
A photo which showed how far a true love would go. At this point, Lola Aurelia and Lolo Luis are back to each other’s arms, as Lola Aurelia together with her children found Lolo Luis under a train station in Manila. (Rel. article on 6theory.com)

300-YEAR-OLD CANNON RECOVERED

Today, in the waters of North Carolina, a piece of history has been uncovered. When the eight-foot cannon that was dated to be 300 years old has been recovered in North Carolina‘s coast. The cannon was from the Blackbeard‘s ship. Blackbeard, was a pirate that has his real name as Edward Teach.
The search was conducted by the members of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. The recovery of the cannon was as historic as it was, but as well will also take ample time for the archaeologists and students on being able to remove the sands and ocean debris that enveloped the cannon. According to Jennifer Woodward, a secretary on the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, as she sees the cannon, it can actually take up to 8 years to take out the debris and get to see the metal of the cannon. The formation of sand and ocean debris that have enveloped that cannon is called a “concretion“.
In the interview to Woodward, she said: “It was perfect. It’s a beautiful day, the crews were out earlier this morning, several boats out there witnessed it”..”It looks like it’s covered in concretions, with cement all around it, and there will be lots of things attached it.” See abcnews for full story.
